when in rome...

You Belong in Rome

You're a big city soul with a small town heart

Which is why you're attracted to the romance of Rome

Strolling down picture perfect streets, cappuccino in hand

And gorgeous Italian people - could life get any better?

august rush

There's this cute little dollar theater on main street in American Fork. It's awesome! They actually have treats for $.50 and less, Ring Pops and Tootsie Rolls and all sorts of deliciousness. At any rate, they always have the "family friendly" movies there. I don't think I have ever even seen them display an ad for an R-rated movie. Crazy, non?

To get to the point, Cody and I went to go see August Rush there last weekend and it's such a good movie! It has almost an ethereal quality to it. Peaceful, full of faith, and beautiful all describe it well. The little dude that stars, Freddie Highmore, is such a great actor already and he does a great job. When the credits rolled up, I said to Cody, "This is totally worth owning!" and he agreed, which is amazing because we only own about 6 movies (we buy more but always sell them on eBay 'cause we get sick of having stuff lying around). I think it's mostly 'cause Robin Williams plays the antagonist; Cody hates Robin Williams.

Anyway, I highly recommend it. Even to you, Mom!

monthly post...ha! just kidding

So, I know everybody's been just waiting on pins and needles, anxious for me to post...um...well, to the two of you that might stumble across this, I have a confession to make. I accidentally told people that I had a blog and got scared that people might even READ it. Scary, right? The sad thing is, I'm only partially kidding. I'm shaking my head at myself right now. You can too, if you want!

Anyway, the holidays were great for us! Many family members, snow, and delicious, delicious food were definitely the highlights. I even got a playhouse from my parents! I think they want me to grow up but are humoring me and my childish ways.

It's snowing like a maniac right now! My poor hubbend was out shoveling away before he had to go to work. He thinks that by shoveling he's fighting back against winter. I did marry him for his looks, why do you ask? No, I think he's smart, really. He just hates the cold and wants something to fight against.
