I'm at my wits end. Is sleep so hard to be had? Babies, cats, computers, plants, dogs, trolls, eyes, giants, boulevards, and vampires can all sleep fine, why not me? I can be many of those things on occasion. You'd think the sleeping ability would creep into my blood from being a vampire troll baby every other week.
But no.
Lately I've been waking up early, around 4-6, no matter when I go to bed. I go to bed at 10, I wake up at 4. Last night I was so exhausted I went to bed at 9:15, promptly fell asleep, and trapped Cody with my heavy head on his chest. He said he couldn't get me to move for an hour! I slept so very well until 1:45 until Truffle woke me by growling at nothing. Fruitlessly I tried going back to sleep for an hour. I gave up and decided to play on the Internet until a decent hour to leave the house...I went and cleaned Cody's office at 4:30, came home at 6:30, and tried to go to sleep again for an hour and a half. Nope.
Perhaps I should try using a 2-by-4 to knock myself out? Sleeping pills? Duct tape my eyes closed?!
I'm really frustrated, but I know this will all work out if I give it time and patience. Right now I just feel like this:

So sorry! I don't know what to tell you! What does Cody's Zoning Uncle say? We use Melatonin, but I imagine you've already tried a few things! Good Luck and let me know if you need anything!
ReplyDeleteYikes! I am so sorry, that has to be the worst... I do know that Jared also has used Ni-quil on many occasion, ok not many but at least once.
ReplyDeleteSounds like me lately! I've just had to persevere. 4 AM is an annoying time to wake up when I just went to bed at 11. I think exercise will help me, when I start again. Sometimes the couch actually helps me, I worry about keeping Elden awake etc. Plus, there is less light and no clock on the couch. Don't worry. You'll find what works!
ReplyDeleteYikes! That's my schedule, but it'd definitely because I have to work at 5 and not because I couldn't sleep in! To me, it sounds like you need your L-thyroxine dose readjusted.
ReplyDeleteSmarty pants! Thanks for the tip, Janae!
ReplyDeleteWhat's up my love? What new sewing phenomenon have you accomplished lately? I love you!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm sorry about that! Waking up at night is no fun especially since there is nothing on TV excpet bad Spanish soaps. My Mom says to drink warm milk... maybe it'll help if it doesn't kill you first.
